Therapy for Anxiety

Is anxiety taking over your life?

Does it feel like no matter how hard you try, you just can’t calm your mind or body?

Have you already tried therapy but found it unhelpful or surface-level?

You’re not alone. Anxiety is one of the most common reasons people seek therapy. At Heartfelt Mind Therapy, I offer evidence-based treatment to help you quiet the noise, reconnect with your body, and feel more grounded in your daily life.

What Anxiety Can Look Like

Anxiety can show up in a variety of ways. You may notice:

  • Worrying about many different things

  • A sense of dread or fear that something bad is going to happen

  • Feeling restless, on edge, or unable to relax

  • Racing thoughts that feel hard to interrupt

  • Speaking very quickly or fidgeting more than usual

  • Obsessing over details or feeling overwhelmed much of the time

  • Physical symptoms like rapid heartbeat, sweating, muscle tension, or high blood pressure

  • Trouble sleeping or staying asleep

  • Difficulty focusing or staying present

  • Anxiety connected to past experiences or ongoing stress

These experiences may be signs of an anxiety disorder, such as Generalized Anxiety, Social Anxiety, Panic Disorder, or PTSD.

How Therapy Can Help

Therapy has been shown to be one of the most effective treatments for anxiety. While medication can help reduce symptoms, therapy supports you in getting to the root of your anxiety and creating long-term change.

Together, we can work to:

  • Understand the patterns and triggers behind your anxiety

  • Overcome difficult experiences that may still be affecting you

  • Learn practical tools to calm your nervous system

  • Equip yourself with grounding techniques and practices that regulate your nervous system

  • Shift habits of overthinking or self-judgment

  • Develop a stronger sense of safety, both internally and in relationships

  • Build long-term strategies for coping with stress and uncertainty

I use an integrative, trauma-informed approach that includes mindfulness, CBT, DBT, somatic awareness, and EMDR to support the mind-body connection and promote lasting healing.
